This “Sardinia” stripe on luxurious woven Italian cotton shirting from Lady McElroy is the perfect weight and texture for button up shirts and other more tailored top patterns.  This fabric has a textured cornflower stripe edged in ivory with a faint shine on a powder blue background.  The stripe runs perpendicular to the selvedge.

Please be aware that this fabric reflects the light at different hues depending on how much and the shade of the light.  The more bright, natural light, the richer the cornflower color.  All the images were taken from the same bolt of fabric, and lighting is the only variation, including on both gallery images showing the fabric with the bright white thread.  The image with the twist is bright un-natural light, and shows the fabric pulling more of a purple-based powder blue.
